Yeah you'd need to find the right level.

Avoidance reduction could be around 25-33% (relative, not absolute, of course) for 2H tanks, meaning a 40% parry will become 30-27% against guard damage (so you will take 10-13% more damage from guard).

There will be a sweet spot to find, but with the loss of shield and block 2H tanks are already dropping a lot of personal resistance against all damage.
But yes, if you only want to nerf 2H versus guard, please do something like this instead of making tanks tougher and guardees squishier... ;)

50 pages later and im still convinced the whole change was bad, there was nothing wrong with the original iteration of guard. REVERT

Fascinating.

For everyone who thinks that 2h tanks could get more damage from guard - look at these pictures. It's quite usual when a tank has 50% and even less health when his DPS dies under pressure. I've seen it myself before: tanks had ~25% hp after their DPS was finally killed. So increasing damage from guard may result in tanks almost dying in the same time as their guarded DPS. Theoretically high parry is very cool but then ask yourself: what does a tank with stacked parry sacrifice to get it and will it (a tank) be needed in a group after this.

Yes but maybe some would prefer a sich where the life pool of the 2h tank is even more closer to the one who's guarding him or even if possible the same % or closest to that, just saying idk if it will benefith the balance (unlikely) or just kill 2h viabilty.

That could had been something to test tough instead "the change"...

All these discussions really dosent matter as under original iteration, 2h tanks were not overperforming in the first place. So any change to guard or survivability will end with the same result, 2h tanks are out of the equation. Simple as that

I'd agree with you there. I, honestly, didn't know that WS did not contribute to parry anymore...I probably missed that while I was deleting all my toons ;) . Really, the best solution would be to make SnB more desirable and leaving 2h alone....there was a time that SnB was very viable, even preferred in several cases, in small-scale.
