Help! Launcher won't start!

Hello, I have been playing fine for a few months on this laptop, except tonight the launcher won't load.
It shows up in task manager and stays there but doesn't come up on the screen.
I recently installed Sildur's Shaders but that was over a month ago.
Yesterday I messed with the Windows power-plan settings because I noticed it running a bit hot, but then I still played WAR fine right after that. I've since changed the power plan settings back but it didn't help. I installed the latest drivers and that made no difference either.
