Just installed - game Crashing after I press PLAY [LINUX]

Hi all,

Thought I'd give this game a go.

Installation was fine (via wine), the game launches I setup my character, connected to a server but as soon as I press play, the loading screen comes up and it freezes and quits.

Tried launching through Steam via various proton layers used a bunch of launch options such as: PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 and others (recommended in the installation guide from 2020) and I think that's as far as I can go really.

Would love to give it a go as I've heard good things.

Thanks for any help

p.s. I am not a pro linux user magician. Please, speak as you might to a young child or a golden retriever <3. Oh and I'm on fedora

The server is lagging like crazy at the moment.

Game has lags yes, but the situation right now is not normal. Have some patience and give it a try.

There is an ongoing network issue (likely a DDoS) going on that cannot be resolved by the team directly. Give it a day or so for that DDoS to end and let us know if you are still having issues.
