Downloading 175173 files

I had the game running and was playing fine before the last patch

When I tried to login after the 12/6/22 patch, it dumped loads of files on my desktop and everytime I try and login the launcher starts to download 175173 files

This is going to take hours to get through the download.

Is this normal, anyway to skip this?

Following on from this:

The game now has a very strange sound bug, where the sound is intermittent and distorted

The game will randomly crash, usually immediately on joining and then again after a few minutes and is sadly now unplayable

If anyone knows what has happened following this patch and how I can fix it, please let me know

The user interface is also not saving and is resetting to 1 hotbar for the 10 seconds that the game stays loaded for.

It was working fine before the last patch/fix

That is caused by your windows language, change it to English and a clean install will probably fix it

My windows is set to English already

Is the only way to redownload and install it again? This will effectively be the 5th time doing this now as it continually tries to download 175173 files and repeatedly dumps random files on the desktop

Yes set everything to English and try a clean install you wont see 170k files if you download the torrent version. Launcher basically makes you download the game file by file again if you have an un-supported language. Thats what I did

Hey, its sounds like you missed a step in the install guide.. @here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31241
Make sure you follow it to the letter. Also if your going to do a fresh install go here.. https://www.returnofreckoning.com/join.php

I had followed the install guide, everything was working great until that patch

Then it all went silly as described above

Thanks for the replies, I will leave RoR and come back and try it again if its working better in the future
