Launcher Broken

After downloading the game which only took a few hours the first time, I keep getting an error code so I uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall with the launcher.

For some reason it's making me download 170,000 files literally, I thought I misread this a first but no, it literally wants me to download 170,000 files. Left it downloading all night to double check this and yes, in the morning it was only at 33,000 files.

How can a launcher be this broken? I know the game isn't like 170gb

How to Install:

+ Stop your Torrent from seeding (close it, maybe check your task manager)

+ Move the Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning outside the ReturnofReckoning-March2020 folder and move it to C:\ (or D:,E: what have you) ... for instance move it to C:\Games
(but **NOT** inside c:\ Program Files or c:\ Program Files (x86); it should be in a folder which it have write access)

+ Remove the write-protection from all the files in the Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning folder.
(right click on the War Online - RoR folder > properties > disable the read-only box)

+ Check that your whole Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning folder is whitelisted in your Antivirus program(Windows Defender etc and check if your Firewall or Maleware doesn't interfere with the install.

+ You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.
(Right click on the RoRLauncher.exe > properties > run administrator)

+ Run the RoRLauncher.exe
+ Let it update (sometimes it needs a few seconds until it starts)
+ Exit launcher and rerun it again
+ Repeat the last 2-steps until there is no update left
+ Launch the game

!!! [If you don't have DirectX 9.0c, installed it is required, and now this is also included in the torrent. In the ReturnOfReckoning-March2020 folder find the dx90c folder, open that and run DXSETUP.exe]

Why is it that every time I load up the launcher it gives me a random number of files to download? I did all the steps and it's just back to downloading over 100k files. The launcher seems to be bugged in a number of ways, there's just script where the patch news should be, and sometimes I get an error message that requires me to try and reinstall

Update: Tried every fix suggested and nothing works, the coding on this launcher is literally broken and nothing is working. I managed to get the game running by chance once and the menues weren't there, no character models loaded.

This isn't even worth attempting anymore, fix your game.

the game is fine.. installs also fine if you read what i posted above.
the common mistake is people have their torrentclient running while launching the launcher and then things go bad as torrent client will verify and patch the game back to original state while launcher wants to update it.

the second common mistake is to not have file permissions and or antivirus/firewall software is blocking the files.

My torrent wasn't seeding and my antivirus has an acception on the entire reckoning folder
