I got it to work.

If anyone uses Bitdefender and can't get the launcher to download because Bitdefender blocks it. I right clicked the launcher and inspected the elements. It shows the URL and I copied the URL than added it to the Bitdefender whitelist (Under web protection.)

I'm not smart when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I hope this info might be of use to others.

Hey long time player of Warhammer here! Loving that you folks took your time to get this started so all can enjoy!

Heres what ive done so far, downloaded the game client through Mega downloads, then extracted all 5 files using Winrar, next I go to download the "return of reckoning" patcher and I then get this message

Error starting: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Users\Joseph\Downloads\WAR.exe'.
File name: 'C:\Users\Joseph\Downloads\WAR.exe'
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access)
at RoRLauncher.Hash.GetMd5HashFromFile(String fileName)
at RoRLauncher.Client.patchExe()
at RoRLauncher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

I see the actual War.exe file though so this makes no sense!! Please help!

Have you put the launcher inside the game folder? Make sure to run it as administrator.

As soon as I go to log into the download of return of reckoning launcher it gives me the error message like that and doesnt let me continue. How would I put the launcher inside the game folder then?

Copy the launcher and paste it into the game folder. Wherever you have saved the game on your computer.

So i downloaded the torrent file. And got a file named Warhammer Online - AoR. I've tried many things but no luck and i get an error when i try the launcher which states:
Error starting: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'E:\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe' is denied.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode)
at RoRLauncher.Client.patchExe()
at RoRLauncher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

- Any tips on what im doing wrong, would love to start playing again.

You run the launcher as administrator?

You set the folder "read only" to false?

Did you also close the torrent application down, when you launched the game?

Ran as Admin, same error occurred and closed the torrent when it finished. Changing it from being read to not worked so far. thank you.
