I think we need to really shorten the speeches and get to the crux of the matter of balance. it should be about what each class can deliver. However, the previous issue in the past I recall was players wanted this that and the next thing to which they where given it. in terms of enjoyment a hard well fought fight in game should give players cause to remember fondly. Therefore, I will never understand what enjoyment there is to be had in a steamroll.

I have a few complaints about classes here and there, but I think one of the better solutions for fair and balanced changes would be to have each individual balance team member recuse themselves from buffing their main class. Its a bit of a conflict of interest to have a balancer that only plays X class to be in charge of decisions buffing X class.


Other than the above, my complaints are Give slayers GTDC and remove their ridiculous Rampage, or atleast move it up to the 13 slot. They really dont need 20s of undefendable attacks plus their already high armor pen. Throw in repost and slayers can melt even the toughest tanks in a moment. Whats the point of playing a tank when you can get melted in an instant by and angry flesh bowling ball.

If you are a BG you can counter Rampage. However, as noted I agree with GreyRogue, when buffing devs should consider how something can be countered/defended against first before buffing. With a nerf it should be how will the skill work versus, did it work fine in the original game. Then what is the impact on the class if it get's nerfed.

Hello everyone, this post has been opened on Tue May 07, 2019 5:21 am 6 months have passed, I waited 6 months to respond and express my comments about the progress made.
No progress has been made and none of the proposals made here has been implemented rightly or wrongly, this section of the forum represents the maximum expression of the true desire to balance the game SERIOUSLY from the developers that is the cosmic nothing.

Not many know it but I have been part of the staff of ror for a period long, I was contacted by the head of the project of that time to deal with graphic impelmentation and animations to be introduced in the game.
At that time I had turned to the database and to the areas reserved for staff members and I had the chance to see how everything is managed and it was never reassuring, especially considering the fact that I have been playing Warhammer online since it was in beta more than 10 years ago.
I believed in this project and I was exalted when this server was opened, it was all a mess nothing worked but everything was settled slowly, the direction was the right one, one day someone started to heavily modify the classes giving life to a series of imbalances that continue today, a devastation of the basic concepts of the archetypes.
Today I miss the live server had its flaws but it was 100 times less unbalanced than what this ROR project is today and those who claim otherwise do not know what it is talking about, there have been changes that have compromised fun and have given way to frustration in seeing ruined classes in favor of others or abandoned because interesting hands to follow for someone.

Today 6 ottoble 2019 we find ourselves with ranged classes like SH and SW that are OP if they specialize in Melee and that suck if used in their main form or Ranged, this is pure madness, even these two classes are more performing in Melee than in a WE or WH, but who realized this thing has an idea of ​​what it is doing ?
Then there are the Stealth classes massacred by someone who probably hates them, disgraced tactics continuous changes unnecessary and in the end always remain useless in rvr.
Then we have the Magus and Engi that strike you from sidereal distances, have disproportionately excessive damage, resemble the DPS versions of our Healer friends who have dots capable of making you 1k of damage per hit, I wonder what sense it makes to make a ranged class like SW or SH when I can make myself an AM or a Shammy dps ..
Ah already now I understand the halers in reality are dps and the ranged dps are the right Melee I am that I have not understood a **** sorry; oh already I almost forgot the clowns who jump 7 k of damage by pressing 2 keys?
It must be really hard to fix this WL, how old are you trying? And to say that it would take so little time to fix this **** if you wanted to. this is only a small part of the mess that is now being played in game, can we talk about the fact that WL SW E SM all have the possibility of becoming flying clowns?
Who makes these changes realizes the imbalance they create giving unique abilities to the classes and not to their respective mirrors?
Then there are the Tanks that don't even know what they are, not even in PVE it makes more sense to use a shield; RVR SYSTEM completely **** full of graphic bugs and mass crashes during the loks of the zones, a map that is all bugged flags that disappear areas that you do not understand and which ones are open and which are closed, OBJ that no longer make sense to defend and citadels that are a deadly bore (when not crashing of course) and based on the extreme grind like the PVE that thanks to the Lokouts you pass the fuss of doing it, rather than putting a valid reason to do something pve to someone came to mind the ingenious ward system based on the grind and say that of ideas to make it interesting there would be.

Continuing on the road of not making big changes when this is the situation only shows laziness and is an excuse for not committing yourself, you can see for a long time now that those who manage ror no longer want to commit themselves, reset everything and start all over again organize and create a plan of short-term periodic changes with the head of the project someone who has REALLY IDEA how to BALANCE a mmo and who understands the basic concept that if you touch a skill to a class and do not balance the others, you split the whole system with a only move.
Starting all over again from scratch is not a failure but a start of something better with the awareness of the mistakes made can be made. I think it's a good summary : no balance.

No come back possible, because if you weaken the White lion, the Ingenior, Archimage, the player leave this game because many player want a easy victory.

The goal of this game is the kill.

May be i'm not impartial because i play chaos tank with shield and the kill is not my problem and i like the challenge.

Advice : Good Equip yourself, regroup, choose your targets, and be intelligent and use cunning and you can win.

I love this game and I thank the team for being able to play it even if I do not agree with everything.

But still, there are many things to do when it comes to balance. I will not write about WL (everybody knows)... The SW and SH as ranged are summed very well. They are very poor / weak compared to other classes and I dont think this is good for the whole game. There is no decent bow/ hunter like ranged class. One thought here. Is there any advantage to defenders remain on the wall during the siege? I think, THIS SHOULD BE the strong advantage for SW/SH as a bow ranged DPS to cast from the wall. They should have some bonus range (or bonus DMG maybe too) when casting from the wall. It is logic, like real Middle Ages battles, when defenders bowmen had an advantage of higher range when shooting from the walls. But not only this. Ranged SH and SW should be stronger and should be on the same line with other pure dps classes. Not only like poor crap support hiding somewhere in the crowd... Look at Engi or Magus. Their huge range is big advantage and they are strong enough to kill. Engi is small and and can hide in the crowd as well (magus is a simple target you know, yep... but this is not what I wanted to write about). There are much more thigs to do. I dont understand the Kotbs, even low lvl can survive against many higher RR players for very long time. Why other tanks arent so strong? Dont understand why AM is much more effectvie dps than the ranged SW... this is sick, yes it is. Dont understand why so many Marauders stopped playing mara... it is like dps without dmg and tank without shield and crucial tank abilities... some of them said. Hm. There are many things to rethink.

Still it is the best MMO I think. Can bring so much fun and hope devs will have time and passion to keep to work they do :) Thank to all

The balance sections is where dreams go to die. No one can comment on anything good or bad. And you get zero feedback on the suggestions made. You have no clue if someone read it or not.

I think maybe someone on the team should be at least be marking off threads as read or commenting on the balance suggestions in the thread.

Balance is always ever changing because we don't have true mirror classes so balancing is always needed. Through out the life of live warhammer classes were always being adjusted. This is why we have some overpowered class specs because fine tuning has not been done. Not everyone can see every possible outcome so feed back from players helps point out flaws or over performing specs.

I totally and honestly agree with Paura. I am playing both sides and have played nearly all classes (but tanks) and i really think that the current state of the game simply needs a complete revision balacewise.
