Seems like what players play don't support that statement fully
slayers (t4) 18%
wl - 40%
vs
choppa - 30%
mara - 41%
slayers lowest played class in t4. where ppl see balance? (destro side seems more balanced around mdps) even wl and mara seems balanced.
Slayer and choppa are in a good spot.
It's just hard for old SL players to switch to the fact that you have to think sometimes to kill something.
Previously, it didn't require anything from the player to kill the target and the guarduing tank.
The sick situation has been fixed.
The numbers you showed do not prove that SL is weak (because it is not) only that stronger classes have appeared.
Supposedly, why would an overrated class be overrated all the time when it can be fixed?
Plus order loves to play rdps and has always had less mdps because of it.

In addition, I expect a WL/Mara nerf, especially aoe skills.
So the situation may change.
We are still through DPS balance.
uhu that why evryone switched to wl/bw because slayer is in good spot.
p.s if order loved ranged why nerf rampage? if its never was problem? :D
"give wh and witch propper aoe like evrywone has it!"

No, but how can we talk about balancing with stats in this state? Where have the Slayers gone? Hello? Isn’t something clearly off here?

Today, we’re only facing WLs as melee DPS or AMs as ranged DPS because these classes have all the advantages and zero drawbacks. It’s a very simple fact to understand. Same thing on the Destruction side with Shamans, who are completely overpowered.

No, balancing isn’t about giving everything to one side while leaving the other in their underwear. Personally, I enjoy a challenge, so I don’t play these classes—but constantly facing the same archetypes is seriously boring. And in my opinion, this is not how you keep players engaged.

I really hope that Darkpromise set and the set of the Tomb of the Vulture Lord wont be BIS items, dont want to feel forced to do PVE. Also i dont want to have better gear than sovereign. Increasing the gap between conqueror gear and BIS gear doesnt feel good for new player. Build variety should be prefered, this would also make the game more interesting and doesnt push away newcomers which would be stomped into the ground by guys with wear BIS gear which becomes stronger and stronger. Therefore i really there will no better gear than Sov but instead more different sets. And also dont force players into pve, by making PVE gear BIS gear, it hurts the fun. Also i think NA times already has problems with player population dividing the game more into two different contents doesnt help.

I think it may be mentioned earlier in the thread, but I can reconfirm so you don't have to worry: Sovereign will remain the roof as far as set bonuses go, and these new sets won't be higher item levels or expanding the gear gap beyond it.

It's not just that the PvE gear is close/on par with Sov but that some of the set bonuses are outright better. Onslaught anyone? At no point should any gear from PvE be considered BiS or close to BiS for anything RvR/SC related.
