EVENT DETAILS

 Gathering in the Feasthall of Karaz-a-Karak

Within the ancient halls of the High King, under runed vaults carved with the deeds of ancestors, the great Feasthall of Karaz-a-Karak shall ring with laughter, song, and the clashing of tankards. Long stone tables groan beneath the weight of roast goat, iron-hard bread, and wheels of aged cheese. Barrels of Bugman’s Best and Black Gulf Stout are cracked open as Dwarfs from all corners raise a toast to old grudges and new glories. Drummers beat out battle hymns while rune-smiths recount sagas of valor. Beards are braided, oaths are sworn, and the air grows thick with smoke, steam, and camaraderie. Amidst it all, the Bitterstone Thunderers stand proud, their black-powder weapons gleaming, their voices raised high in boisterous chant.

It is a night of kinship before the storm—a final feast before war.

 The Battle of Barak Varr

In the southern reaches of the World's Edge Mountains, nestled upon the shores of the Black Gulf, stands the mighty Dwarf stronghold of Barak Varr. The powerful tides of the Black Gulf have carved out a deep cave system into the tall white rock, and here in these vast sea caverns the Dwarfs harbour their trading fleet. Known far and wide as the Gate to the Sea, Barak Varr has long been a symbol of trade, resilience, and Dwarf engineering unmatched across the Old World. Its towering sea gates, proud ironclads, and deep vaults have weathered centuries of storm and war.

But dark days have come.

From the Badlands and beyond, a vile tide now rises. Greenskin warbands, teeming with brutish Orcs and cackling Goblins, march upon the hold with siege engines forged from stolen scrap and hate. From the twisted corners of the world, Chaos warriors, warped and maddened, and vile bands of Druchii corsairs have emerged on their ships to join the fray. They seek to burn what they cannot take.

Barak Varr stands on the brink.

In this dire hour, the Bitterstone Thunderers of Ekrund march once more—not only in defense of Barak Varr, but to mark a proud milestone: ten years of brotherhood, battle, and beer-soaked victories! For a decade they have stood firm, and now they invite all kin to join them for a celebration clad in steel and gunpowder.

To all Clans, all Holds and all free Dwarfs of the mountains and beyond:

The horns of war sound. Rally your warbands. Sharpen your axes. Load your rifles. There is glory to be earned, grudges to be settled, and tales to be told for another ten years and more. Come to Barak Varr. Stand with the Bitterstone Thunderers. Drive back the darkness and remind the world that the Dawi do not yield!

Barak Varr must not fall!
