PvP matchmaking filter by ping/region?

Hi everyone, I’m playing from Southeast Asia and sometimes experience quite high ping when joining PvP or RvR, especially during peak hours. I was wondering if there are any plans to add an option to filter or prioritize matchmaking based on region or ping? I think this could help make PvP encounters feel fairer and more stable for players who are far from the servers. Has the development team ever considered implementing something like this?

How would that function from a networking standpoint? The game session isn’t suddenly being hosted on a client’s local machine; it remains deployed on dedicated remote servers within their infrastructure.

However, there are client-side networking optimizations that could mitigate the issue. For example, you could attempt to find a more efficient route to the server’s geographic region. different ISP, optimizing your network peering(probably cant do with your ISP), or making it easy and getting Starlink?
