I look, I ask around me and I realize that no one (sane) plays the Slayer anymore, why?
Because now it is not optimized at all to play slayer, he does less damage than other DPS, he must be guarded with the right tank, healed with the right heal, he is harder to play and is more weak.
Before he was the prince of DPS, ok, he was strong, but the developers killed him because of 2 consecutives nerfs:
- rampage
- retribution
Now he is a chips in RvR 24!
We love this class, and oh devs , please do something to bring our slayers back into this game...

Seems 50% Order play as White Lions.
WL is better than Slayaer in every possible aspect. Super overtuned.
So for the moment, there is no place in game for Slayers...

i have a WL 81 and a SL 86, but it's sad that the SL has lost its prestige and effectiveness and is under a 3rd choice of dps

Rampage was straight up cheat, ignored even morales with defences. That nerf was obviously needed.
What slayer and choppa need is removing toughness debuff on WS+STR tactic and tone down berserk debuff on armor and resists, it's too much.

Broken for so long that when it's fixed all they do is cry nerf! What a joke. Anyone that thinks rampage was nerfed can have their opinion dismissed.

ID needs to be 10s cd not 15 though. And the middle tree is garbage, lots of opportunity there to do something.

100% not this. Those changes would do nothing for the classes but destroy their identity. Up the damage to be actually competetive again with all this procc bullshit meta.

Not to forget that slayer and choppa got that weird ass nerf with the accuracy / extra choppin tactic, instead of an actual fix for their trees and weapons. That "fix" after did not seem to have any impact on the best builds - you still take the AoE tactic, even in ST specc. Awesome change *golfclap*

There’s definitely room for discussion about the Rampage nerf. I think a change was certainly possible, even desirable, but definitely not like this. It’s incomprehensible that the Slayer has been left in this state… No, dear devs, player outrage is not a sign of your work’s efficiency. WLs are blowing up while SLs have simply vanished.

In my opinion, a rework of the single-target spec, along with a revisit of parry/WS, is clearly the way to go. I still wonder why you would outright destroy one class in favor of another. Is there anything planned regarding this in the coming months?

If Guard Mechanic is changed to work like originally which means that no UNAVOIDABLE guard dmg and ae cap back to 9, Slayers can get 100% Rampage back easily imo. ID cooldown needs to be 10s not 5 or 15.. Short Temper Slayer's Can Reduce ID cooldown to 5s and Sm on top of that can then reduce it to 0s. Remove all the new things in Accuracy/Extra Choppin'

But then you need to allow this on destro as well. Just remove CDR from BG, Give it to BO or back to choppa 1 or 2 min cooldown depending how long it lasts.

No. Rampage needed sorting. I had always proposed a consequence to using it which was if you can ignore that much armour etc then the damage you take should match the damage you could simplynjust dole out to people. End of the day, it's, and as much as I hate to say it, a team game.
