the problem is that 13 runs of c&t / bb&be is incredibly alt unfriendly

I would say leave it as it is. We are talking about the very endgame gear this piece. Like all MMOs the very final gear should require considerable effort and time to achieve.

I think the bigger issue the combination of the overabundance of DPS classes being in the game (if you are going to play one of every style you probably will go tank, rMDPs, rDPS, healer) and the itemization being alt spec.

The irony being that DPSers are probably the only ones that really want to run the dungeons for some of the gear for mixed sets. SnB tanks that you need to run PvE certainly don't want the gear (other than the influence stuff). Ditto the most common class in the game chalice DoK/book WP have zero to gain from PvE other than fashionhammer.

If the devs don't want to change the PvE grind then please make it more compelling for non-DPSers to run. ie: for DoKs add a healing/defensive sentinel jewelry.

The stone decays, not the talisman. Talisman only starts the timer once slotted so as soon as you get the Soulstone from the quest, go buy a tali with it and slot it or put it in the bank or whatever.

As for the OP's requests, I'd be fine with a lower lockout. That's the only thing I think needs changing.

It requires constant effort to keep it BiS, by farming talisman for it every week.
Thus could be optained earlier, as you still will have to put work into it, if you want min-max.

This thread is a bit like the current Oppressor thread I feel - too much effort for reward earned.

As a player who has 5 80+ toons, all pushing the pve/orvr/sc content, I don't find it grindy. It is a game, it is enjoyable and fun (yes a little buggy in places - but what games aren't, in fact what part of life isn't?). Things really only become 'grindy' when the thing done isn't fun or enjoyable in some way - it is more a matter of perspective than practice I feel. This thread (and the Oppr one) smell distinctly like a 'I turned up, now where's my gold bag!' kind of cheese and whine tasting. The only thing I could get behind that has been suggested is to reduce the lockout, perhaps to 4 days I think; not 3 though.

And before anyone says - GL getting Gear on all of those toons ... I have it mostly where it is needed already and have had the enjoyment of making friends, team building, and strategy/tactic crafting. I have a regular pve group and I take pug groups when I feel like it from /5 - not all are successful by any means, but learning and teaching are always a part of those groups - which is what games like this encourage.

Grow up. Stop feeling entitled. Stop feeling hard done by. Don't feel jealous. L2P means not just what buttons to push and in which order, but also 'L2Play well with others' and be a part of a good spirited community.

And just to add icing to my own cupcake - I was 1st chosen on server to 80, in full conq (when it was Bis), with overlord and imperator sets, and maybeeee with 3 full genesis sets (I stopped minding). And now I play casually and have full Redeye/Sent (and ring)/Blood lord on 2 toons; redeye/sent on 2 others; Warlord and sov on 2 toons; oppressor sets and sc weapons more than I care to count. And still do the content (on any of those) for the fun of it and the team efficiency. I communicate this to: a) show I've done my time and speak from experience, b) to gloat a little, c) to demonstrate it is possible.

As stated before if you dont want to grind pve - don't, if lucky you can get full Sentinel ToK in 1-2 runs, and move on to bloodlord set/weapons.
If you see any consistent pattern with disconnects in crypts - bugreport it so it can be looked at and fixed.

I never had dcs in crypts. But at least one other person in each of my four runs so far had. I think the only thing they had in common was that they didn't play elf chars. So at the moment I would rather tend to bad luck than a bug :lol:
