I can't imagine a mdps who do lower dmg than a tank. Maybe a lowbie or if he die all the time coz your are not guard range.

Btw if you feel he is useless crossguard the other tank doesn't matter just guard somebody.

Or not if you don't want but I don't wanna play tank without guard. That's the point of my feedback. Let me go solo if I feel someone leech me.

It was ranked and I was floating guard between any focused target, but that one was my main guard target and also picked to be main assist
I always guard someone, peel for people etc, but just found it funny, or rather sad

Every coin have two sides. Myself as a IB tank for example in pug SC always look for either slayer, wl or wh. Guard them and use oath friend to buff them.
To be honest most of dps doesnt know how to play when guarded. They keep hitting in tanks, do not know how to position themselves etc.
I personally mark every braindead dps player in enemy addon to immediatelly spot the noobs I wasted my guard on previously and do not guard them anymore. I bet more tanks do the same, so no wonder there are people whi dont get guard evev if they ask for it since they are on guard blacklist for the tank.
Currently I do not even play my tank in solo SC since it is most of the time pain to guard most pug dps. However, some are doing great with IB buffs and it is pleasure to watch how he your dps is rolling over enemy and you just keep buffing him, debuff his target, knock targets guard tank, debuffing healers etc., but this you can do only if there us synergy between tank and dps.

If you don't like your dps then guard the other tank atleast.

But this suggestion about the freedom.
I accept and aggree you don't want to guard some player.

I would like to not play with you if you don't guard anybody I would like to go solo coz I feel you leech me if you don't guard anybody.

But now when I go solo I cannot get any rr from my kills

Im not saying I dont guard anybody, but if there are mdps who I have marked as a waste of guard in enemy Im guarding someone else. Usually some WP or other healer. I wish every player would at least try to play every role for a while. I personally have high RR WP, WH and IB. Played a bit of BW and AM. My friends Im playing with have played also every role and they know exactly what I want to do in the fight and position themself accordingly, pick targets and positions to allow me do my job properly. Not just run behind some dps running hitting on tanks or going directly to the meatgrinder since he is being guarded. You must be guard worthy. I bet there is many tanks who just stop guarding their dps after few attempts when they realize the guy doesnt know what he is doing at all.
It is the most important to understand each role and their limitations ans mechanics, then adjust your play accordingly. It is so obvious that many players are so clueless about what other roles can do for them and when because they never played them. Complaing tanks never guard me might actually have a reason. Im not saying this is your case, but who knows it might be.
That is the reason why healers does not bother healing certain people at all and tanks ignoring certain people as their guard target.
You can bet there are some people here which I even ask to guard them instead of other tank if I meet them in my party.

Not guarding the mdps is a bad decision imo. If he bad and you don't guard him he won't be better, talk with him teach him l, if you feel yourself experienced say them to follow you.IMO

IAM a rdps so I don't need guard.

But when I saw a poor slaya or lion die 10times in a row without guard. Our helaers sweat blood. And usually 2handed "dps" tank do nothing on the enemy backline not even a cc or challenge.

So when I see this IAM not happy and I would like to leave this guy alone.
But I can't coz the system punished me and I got zero renown point from my kills.
This is the point this is the topic. A asking to bring back solo mode in sc.

Bad players are a new thing? There should have always been a solo option and healers should always have been able to get good renown on their own.

The OP noticing bad players doesn't change anything because there have always been bad players.

More on topic. I always find it funny when I am pugging and some random wants me to throw guard on them before the scenario starts, like that means anything.

Don't expect random players to do their job or play well, because lots of the time they dont.

All jokes aside, if you are actually running FO (and this isnt a joke), you should probably let the group/wb know that you are filling a dps slot and not a tank slot. That way other tanks know to guard you and the healers focus heal you.

The only thing worse than a bad tank not guarding someone is when another good tank doesnt know he needs to be guarding/rotating guard to you.
