A proposal regarding Get To Da Choppa

As it stands, the benefits of Get To Da Choppa are numerous:

1. Pull from 40 feet
2. Undefendable
3. Speed increase

The pull alone makes the skill shine. Targets being pulled by this ability are effectively interrupted and stunned for several seconds while the pull animation takes place.

My proposal is as follows:

Create a decision point with respect to how players utilize this ability. This can be utilized in the following manner:

1. Tie GTDC's pull mechanic to the Choppa's class mechanic.
2. Pull only occurs when Choppa is in Furious state.
3. If enabled during Berserk state, still gains benefit from damage bonuses from that tier of Rage.

This forces Choppas to manage Rage in order to achieve the desired effect of GTDC.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Yeah Get To Da Choppa very nice ability. Also it is channeling and choppa is not immunue any cc effect during using this skill so u can easly counter it. When I compare Rampage and Get To Da Choppa... nevermind. Please some empathy.

Rampage at least forces Slayers to manage their Rage to maximize Rampage uptime. Inevitably though, a Slayer will likely be at full Rage if midfight after using Rampage once. The Slayer then has to decide whether dumping Rage with Rampage for the 10 second buff will be of more benefit than exhausting Rage with another ability and utilizing Rampage again while Furious for the 20 second buff.

They really need to make a few changes to see how the move would work.

1. Should only pull people from 20 feet - 65 feet. Almost every other pull works like this and so should this one.
2. Should be able to interrupt them.
3. No speed buff.

That would be a good start.

There was no reason at all to change it from its live state.

30s cooldown
30 foot range
No speed increase
Defendable

And not a single person specced for it on live or RoR under those conditions.
As someone who used to play a warband choppa, pre GTDC change, the class was only utilized for one simple reason, boosting Sorcs Infernal Wwave (IW) skill to be instant cast. The IW Sroc boosting build was removed on RoR due to changes to Sorcs tactics, so what would be the point of the class in warbands with the old shitty GTDC and no IW boosting? The class needs a purpose.

The only thing most choppa's do is spam get to the choppa. There is no reason they should not be able to NOT pull people standing at a min range. Other melee classes pull has a min range and this would be a good change. The tool should be used for people running away, not pulling melee right next to you for a free second CC.

I used it. It was good for what it was, a high AOE damage 13x that could be extremely disruptive and with good enough uptime after Chop Fasta.

The only change that should be discussed is adding a minimum range like 15ft to it. This way i can counter being airborne by just closing distance to melee range.

I say go the other way and buff GTDC. Make it 80ft radius with extra height in pull within 15 ft.
