Fall damage adds a new layer of depth to RvR, and nerfing it in any significant way from how it is now has the potential to turn it from something that adds new depth to the game to something that is inconsequential and just there as some flavor that doesn't really matter.
Please don't nerf it into the ground because someone cried about taking 2k damage jumping from keep walls

Re: Fall Damage
Again, this isn't really about the walls. Go fall or jump off a TINY hill a few times and look at how excessive the damage is for a minuscule fall.Starx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 7:06 am Fall damage adds a new layer of depth to RvR, and nerfing it in any significant way from how it is now has the potential to turn it from something that adds new depth to the game to something that is inconsequential and just there as some flavor that doesn't really matter.

EDIT: Also seems it is more than just me that agrees it is excessive as it is right now.
Re: Fall Damage
Don't press jump then. Jumping increases the damage big time.Thorinori wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 9:06 amAgain, this isn't really about the walls. Jump from keep wall, 4,x K dmg, while just dropping down deals 1,x K dmg.
Dying is no option.
Re: Fall Damage
And you don't think that a 3k damage increase is at all reasonable for the tiny bit of extra height of a single jump? If the jump made the fall 4 times larger, sure, hell even if it doubled the height that would be reasonable. But for a tiny bit? Absolutely not.Sulorie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:00 amDon't press jump then. Re: Fall Damage
Imagine you even get almost twice the damage for jumping from half the height of keep wall (e.g. standing on middle platform of stairs to keep wall) compared to just dropping from wall. It doesn't feel right, no but for now I keep it in mind to reduce the dmg greatly.Thorinori wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:04 am
