While being more anecdotal. Since the patch, I havnt seen that Random AAO event once despite several 3 hour EU primetime playsessions, 1 NA primetime play session, and some EU afternoon pug sessions, with aao on either side.
My blue BW T3 quest reward gloves lost their 3% renown due to the Weapon stat patch. How does this even happen manually, when other classes still have their 3%. This was just weapons getting adjusted this patch, right. Undocumented or AI generated adjustedment.

The lockout system seems broken or undercooked, even if you play RealmA for 3 hours and log RealmB to check on mail situation, do pve or queue SCs you get hit with the crossrealm debuff in Capitals.

There were some good intentions in this patch, some good logic I could get behind. But as a playing guest here on this server, It does come off as a patch that wasnt tested, was missplaced in terms of timing, and it really raises the question of how this project is getting handled. On a string of many such cases where there simply doesnt seem to be a common direction for where the project is headed.

Great post!
Im all for standardising low lvl equipment but once it comes to endgame gear (40+) alot of thought has to go into it, for example even in full BiS you can still make use out of say HV gloves and ring in some situations, this imo is great!
But if these changes indicate anything it will be just 1 set that is the best and that will be w/e has the highest itemlvl.

You want to have good ''odd'' pieces of equipment from all types of content, that way you ensure the playerbase partakes in said content.

Why would I spend any crests or even play the game after this patch.

If the weapon changes are this bad then I can imagine what an abhorrent future awaits us when the armor changes arrive... Just the shadownerfs on the jewelry sets smell fowl.

It would seem that the entire game has basically been boiled down to PvE instances for better rewards than PvP and rvr lakes full of mindless or semi-afk players blobbing under the hypocritical guise of "It's intended or else the game wouldn't allow it" or "They do it so I will do it too" or players that simply don't know any better.

In the end it's whatever, whether people quit or not or whether people draw any enjoyment from the game doesn't matter to whoever is making the "balance" changes, but to call it a "passion" project at this stage is an overstatement.

It's pretty hard to argue that the weapons are LESS consistent now. None of you did that of course. There was a lvl 44 BG weapon with the protection proc on it that was not mentioned in the notes. That was the only tank with that proc. Now it's the same as other tanks. Less interesting, sure, but totally consistent with the other 99% of tank weapons. Consistency was the reason given for the item patches after all. Also, it affects everyone, so the "it breaks things" is a strange position.
