Stop '/' from starting chat

Heya! Just installed the game and I'm setting up my UI similar to how I play FFXIV.
I like to use a 3-stack actionbar with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,+,´ modified by CTRL and Shift for bar 2 and 3 respectively. The problem is that Shift + 7 creates the '/' symbol which the game interprets as me wanting to write a slash-command.
I'm sure that's handy for some, but for me it means that I can't bind my 7th key on hotbar 3. Is there any way to disable this? Or will I just have to learn that this button is disabled.

EDIT: While playing, I've noticed that I can't open the PQ leaderboard. Pressing the area appears to do nothing at all, using VinyUI if that helps.
