Re: Upcoming Item Rebalancing
Meta shifts in PvP games are always exciting. It's a breath of fresh air for all those boring copy/pasted builds until a new meta emerges. It's a fun time to develop and test new ideas. Looking forward to this change!

Re: Upcoming Item Rebalancing
I would like to see a fix for invader gear which is pretty underwhelming for majority of classes.

hopefully not too many nerfs to pvp weapons (many anathema weapons for example could use a buff as they see almost no play besides the shield for snb tanks) while items like bloodlord weapons get nerfed. pve items should never be bis in a pvp centric game.
buffs to sent weapons would be nice too. while some sent weapons are decent for very specific class/builds (like the reactionary proc 2h for BG/SM or movespeed proc 2h for knight/chosen/ib) most of the other weapons are bad due to lacking crit chance or having weak procs.
as far as sets and bonuses.. many warlord and invader sets need a thorough re-itemization and set bonus changes. if you are going to consider nerfing vic/tri, please reduce the cost (of the ring, at least) substantially to compensate.
you should look at darkpromise and onslaught too. they are mathematically bis (proven via calculations) over, or combined with, sov/warlord/tri/vic on some builds currently. imo this goes against the vertical progression of the game when you are finding items which are 10-20 item levels lower than sov/warlord more valuable than the highest tier items in the game. the LV secret boss wounds ring should be on the chopping block too.
This.

Re: Upcoming Item Rebalancing
I've a question about the gear rebalance and off-specs. Historically off-specs suffered from a consistent lack of stats, because their base stats are low. Gear often was used as a way to compensate for this, except in the case of tanks who, of course, still needed to remain tanks.
With this more formulaic approach to gearing, is there a risk that it will push these archetypes out of viability? Gersy mentioned the secret boss rings, for example, and even those too are used in such a way, while other classes mostly prefer annuli.
I would also be careful around stats like Toughness, because it is frankly underwhelming and Initiative, for the opposite reason, because it is very effective. Not all stats in this game are made equal.
Another thing to consider is set-mixing. Often I realise that current sets seem to bizzarely keep in mind what you and can't mix them with. Which is why some pieces seem to have intebtionally suboptimal stats, as a way to cushion the sheer benefit of mixing it with other sets. I would hope that this rebalancing is done while conscious of this.
Finally, I think most classes will do whatever they can to get softcap offensive stats. Overvalueing crit may leave classes that rely on landing crits effectively gimped and could tip the stat balance in such a way that stacking reduced chance to be crit will create a situation where those classes will no longer function at all.
These are some of the ways I can see this going wrong.

Re: Upcoming Item Rebalancing
• These changes will also add values for Procs and set bonuses, meaning that the bonus values on a number of item sets will also be changing. This will eventually include the Triumphant and Victorious sets, and due to the high War Crest cost associated with the ring in these sets, we’ll share additional information once we determine what these adjustments will be.
Is there a possibility in the future to buy with Crests, as the ring and potions, items like Triumphant Medals?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Upcoming Item Rebalancing
I actually was hoping for the same thing. Similar to how Sentinel weapons has the merchants who exchange the weapons for a gold cost. Let us be able to decide between stats or procs.Florian90210 wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2026 6:54 am All I want is to make PvP items BiS and with variety of procs. Just clone those SC weapons and fort weapons and give procs choice.
Re: Upcoming Item Rebalancing
I have the impression that the game is heading towards becoming a fast food where people would like to play DPS but tough as a tank with the ability to heal, and on top of that, farm it in a few weeks because "it's so hard to farm equipment now." I'm afraid that actions that interfere with players' already acquired equipment will have the opposite effect.
