Thanks, I was starting to think I was the only one seeing the problem this way. I’d also add that this kind of patch just makes things even worse for some classes that have been waiting for a long time for the much-needed DPS rework, just to finally have a chance to shine again — even just a littleabezverkhiy wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 4:06 am Please stop telling us to stop telling about broken classes because "DPS patch will fix it". Will it or will not we are yet to see. What we see is that the elephant in the room is being ignored but we are lining up values from 240 to 250 and from 120 to 100.
At the same time /5 channel says "LFM tanks/heal/dps and NO WH's". Or ppl encounter a def WE and it kills you leaving the combat with 80% hp. This is what players have been concerned with not lining up debuff values. And this is what has been ignored for years. So please do not tell us to stop complaining about real issues because "some DPS patch will go live some day in future to solve all the problems".

I said a milion times that BO/SM punt distance should be tied to stance.Shieldslam wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 11:36 pm The changes I'm worried about:

Have you tried?
Re: [PTS] Patch Notes 07/09/2025
What do you mean it's not a DPS patch? It's a DPS patch if it impacts the DPS and this one clearly does. Some bots (which a few of them have been posting in this thread) were spewing same nonsense before ability rework patch (it being "short-term fix and non-balance patch" while looking at lines and lines of balance changes lmao) and for instance TTK been different ever since and that mess is still being cleaned up as we can read from these patch notes.Omegus wrote: Sun Sep 07, 2025 10:44 pm To the posters above complaining about buffs/nerfs to WH/Slayer/WL/WE/etc, remember that these are universal changes. It would be weird if the buffs and debuffs of those classes were not adjusted to match. This is not the "DPS patch".
Been playing another MMO for a while now and balance decisions are generally made with gathering data from pve and pvp ratings and then looking at over-/underperforming classes and hitting OP one with the nerf bat reasonably fast (while still trying to keep class/spec viable mind you) and buffing underperforming classes. Here it probably is going to take another 2 years or so shuffling resist values and whatnot around to align with current dev-teams design philosophy and if your already underperforming class catches a stray nerf due that, too bad but it's for the greater good, check again in two years.

The CD keeps you from hitting whatever is sitting on the follow up bar, so it has it's use. Could be much shorter, though, that's for sure.borc1 wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 8:59 pm remove cd from mara/sw stance.. reward player skill just once instead of **** around pointlessly with buff values..
Also, as already mentioned, buffing Chosens dps ability is pretty crazy.
Capability to deal spirit dmg compared to how tanky it still is is already huge, so those buffs should really be reconsidered.
Re: [PTS] Patch Notes 07/09/2025
No, it's a general patch to a whole pool of abilities that affects all archetypes. (to be fair Kotbs and Chosen see some special treatment)Hugatsaga wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 10:47 am What do you mean it's not a DPS patch? It's a DPS patch if it impacts the DPS and this one clearly does. [...]
It is not a patch to balance DPS classes and therefore shouldn't be seen as final state of those.
If you are generally pissed at this game server don't read further, but some people need to keep in mind what kind of project RoR is, who is working on it and under what conditions.
A lot of thoughts and work is brought into it instead of letting it rot like a dead horse, which I really appreciate.

Very well said. Literally nail the issue. I remind, whole damn Ranked Season thingy here has been done in exactly such logic - analysis of performance (+orvr data), quick adjustments, launching new season. It has never ever been a thing here in RoR.Hugatsaga wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 10:47 am Been playing another MMO for a while now and balance decisions are generally made with gathering data from pve and pvp ratings and then looking at over-/underperforming classes and hitting OP one with the nerf bat reasonably fast (while still trying to keep class/spec viable mind you) and buffing underperforming classes. Here its absolutely unknown:
- if any data is even gathered, analyzed and considered (altho tools are there);
- if its gathered then is it taken into consideration;
- if something is taken into consideration why we wait YEARS before adjustments/changes are done?

You clearly missed the irony of that post. Noone in the right mind would call this patch DPS-patch.fatelvis wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 11:06 amNo, it's a general patch to a whole pool of abilities that affects all archetypes. We do appreciate devs work and their product. If we would not - we would be playing other MMOs yet we play the game that was designed back in 2008 using technologies of the past. In MMOs rules are simple - once you stop liking the product - you go somewhere else. Yet we are here.
However, seeing the way things have been developing do not necessarily make us feel happy at all times. On the scale of demand for changes Chosens demand changes far less than other classes, especially the class I love the most.
Nowadays it is business as usual to be auto-removed from WB because I play WH to the extent that I accepted it and STOPPED JOINING WBS. Is this a good indicator that WHs really need some attention? They spam /5 saying "Everyone is welcome ex WHs". To me it tells that class is in a bad shape.
Last thing I remember done to WHs (skipping some cosmetic changes) was disabling energy regen in stealth. And it was long ago. And it was a nerf. And there was another one also long ago when armor penetration from Blessed Blades was nerfed. It was also was very long ago. And since then we've been waiting and waiting for some attention. And seeing changes to Chosens do not make us feel very happy. Chosens probably lack only AOE heals and rezz ability today. And forum is a place to speak. Here we are - speaking out.
