@porposal you either have to chose go dmg or go def like every class have to if we put down parry tactic and toughness tactic stays at 4 points while ap tactic is worthöess and at 12 points it just doesent fit 30% parry is worth the place it is, even the hate gain mechanic of bg is better the one of ib.

Crimson Death is the biggest appeal for going 2h, but putting both Crimson Death and ADM out of reach of each other unless you are renown rank 70 punishes 2h unfairly IMO. ADM was essential for not dying to guard damage since you lack any other parry buff and your bubble gets blown away in 1 second when Malice/Loathing. FoF can only carry you so far and it usually one of the first things to get severed and is on a 20 CD.

Was ADM over performing? Yeah probably, but you shouldn’t be forced to give up so many other essential offensive abilities such as Hastened Doom/EB/your KD if you want to have at least some form of survivability when going 2h. Especially since every other tank can spec (or is already freely given) a good way to survive when running 2h (unless you’re a BO where SnB is simply more viable while 2h is too high risk).

I know we aren’t supposed to appeal to mirrors but IB can get everything he might need with his Tri Spec and is quite literally the definition of a low hanging fruit class. It is also quite debatable that Oathbound for IB is an inherently better skill than ADM since while it can be severed, it has 0 CD, laughably low grudge cost and effects your Oathbuddy at the same time while also giving much needed initiative to both of you. But this is off topic yet I still think it should be highlighted before people start saying that ADM is perfectly fine at 11 points and that BG should have to choose between going damage (aka Crimson Death) or defence while every other tank archetype has it easy going 2h offensive while maintaining a reliable amount of survivability.

All that being said, I like the sound of solution 2. Allowing you to pick up the main Malice goodies with a severely nerfed parry chance on ADM is a good tradeoff.

Fof affects you and your dp AND stacs with armor potions(;
Ib has a twofaced offensive tree, gbf has static crit which not stacs with your basic crit chances.
The support skills arent really better for oathfriend you get its just better survaviablitiy for ib him self.
Again the prob is the value of the tactics in mid tree for bg atm its ap tactic, total worthless, toughness tactic, parry tactic. Therefore the build up of skill tree makes sense so you can atleast get value at low rr. Ib buffs can be shattered also, if the pan is correct, which is a HUGE malus!

What if Anger Drives Me were put in slot 9? With this change a Malice BG of rr60+ would be able to run all necessary Malice skills + ADM. You could still run a pretty decent build at lower rr's, but you'd have to sacrifice one of your Malice skills to get ADM.
