Hi everyone, husband and wife couple that played war for the 5 years , and was very sad to see it end, we then packed up pc gaming altogether , but just recently heard about this server.. and yes you guessed it , went out and bought 2 new PCs just to play again

anyway , if you see Duvalx and Narciax , give us a wave both enjoying playing our warrior priests .
We are in the uk so if any guild that's English specking and will need WPs for raids and citys for the future please pop us a message .
we are currently levelling in SCs and as much open rvr as possible.

Its all coming back slowly.
just a quick question , we see the way medals work is different now, is there still the pve grind in places like LOTD that need to be done or can we just concentrate on pvp?

also one last question , how do the devs fund the game is there a method of paying our way as it were ?

1) You can concentrate on PvP. Depending on your class, some PvE content like Crypts/Tunnels and Bastion Stairs give good PvE rewards that are BiS.

2)No Pay to Win here. Devs do this for nothing and need to keep it that way in order to have this game be live and free.

3) Thank you for rolling WPs, Order needs healers

I'd level entirely from oRvR and scenarios. No need for pve grinding unless you hate yourself. As for server funding, its entirely self funded - no donations of any kind can be accepted in order to keep server going. Best thing you can do to help is to disable adblocker and click stuff every time you visit the site.

I had the same epiphany and scramble to upgrade pc gear as you for ROR after loving WAR.

The devs are creative and objectively fair overall. This is a well run private server. They have staged release of areas and items and some new content. No Vale or LOTD yet, but they are coming. Balance and scaling in many ways is better than live, some ways however its a work in progress. Merged T2-T4 with bolster has worked well. Use potions and talismans to maximize the bolster when leveling, but you will hit 40 fast with scenarios and RVR. Some PVE gives great xp, especially during extra xp events, so don't discount it. Onslaught gear chp 22, probably BIS until Sov for WP Salvation., and you can get easy. The gear power curve is less steep than on live, meaning it is less noticeable rr50s gear vs rr70s gear but it is still (rightfully) there.

Don't exploit or cheat, even by accident. they will ban you for it. Ignorance isn't an excuse. Punishment can be harsh, but because of their heavy hand cheating isn't an issue here.

You can create some pretty awesome duos with wp. S&B will be fun for you to tinker with as I imagine things will come back quickly. Find the good addons... some new ones out there. Check forum and "fixxer ironforge" website.

Welcome to RoR, and back to pc gaming

In terms of Live and the differences on RoR, the only content missing is: Lostvale dungeon, huntersvale dungeon and all of Land of the dead expansion.
City siege was the latest recreation we knew from Live, added on here.
As the first piece of brandnew content the Devs built a homemade dueling arena on here, and that opens up for an exciting future where they can potentially add stuff to the server, that we didnt see on Live (more racial cities maaaaybe?)

As for coming back to the game, or starting on the server. Get comfy with your UIs check out addon packs like VenyUI it covers pretty much all your needs on the outdated standard UI.
Get your feet wet, try diffrent classes, you can play both realms with a 90minut lockout timer from when you enter realmA in rvr/sc. untill you can log over on your toons on RealmB.

RvR is the main focus, pve is a chore to some, others dont mind it. Keep an eye out for the lfg channels for guilds and parties to get the multiplayer aspect. The discord and forum have guild subchannels for when you really get comfy on the server, and just have fun
