WoW PvP doesn't have collision between people. WoW PvP has a lot more crowdcontrol, stuns, whatnot. WoW PvP has lots of downtime if you are mana user and also has not much of a goal for PvP, just battlegrounds and openworld pvp with no keep fights or whatnot.

WAR is more about morale buildup, tank/healer/dps combination, not much about solo killing, though that can be done also ofc. WAR also can be zergfest at times :D

Anyway, having played both WoW Classic and WAR, i can say PvP in WAR is 1000x more fun and rewarding, even when dying.

Hi and welcome!

RoR is a mass-scale PvP game, similar to Dark Age of Camelot (was developed by the same people).

1. Fairly low I would say. The battlezones switch hands often as once a campaign is complete all zones reset. Also the game is made in such a way that you will be well rewarded in time if you play well enough. There is some RNG to it but it is done well. Zone locks offer rewards to a few players on both sides (winners get more, ofc).
I'd say risk/reward is fairly low.

2. main playerbae revolves around RvR lakes (open world pvp) but there are some instanced BGs (called Scenarios).

3. There is, both in PvP and PvE (besides the usual lucky world drop). Most gear is behind a currency however (which you get plenty of at early ranks).

4. Yeah most of the game actually. If you are outside an RvR lake and haven't been in one for a while you are flagged off for PvP. Not sure if they changed this but it's basically a PvE server; which is fine since the RvR lakes are huge and plenty for fightin!

5. A love of mass-scale PvP or Warhammer fantasy.

There's not only a few people that get bags on zone locks, that was changed a long time ago. Everyone gets their own personal roll, and sometimes you will get a bag and other times you won't (depends on your contribution, previous rolls etc). Also if you really want to remove your RvR flag, type /rvr when you enter a pve area, it will be removed after 10 minutes (tho there's not much reason to bother yourself with that tbh).

Honestly, it’s the best pvp you are gonna find on the market . Thousands of people wouldn’t be playing on a private server for a dead game if that wasn’t the case.

what is the risk/reward?

is it open world or BG/arenas? no arenas, only BG+ ranked BG+ open RvR (not in whole map)

is there any loot drop? killing enemies give zone influence points (to purchase free items), realm points (to increease your realm renown and purchase RR abilities), random items and medallions (to purchase RvR equipment)

safe zones? the PvE zones are safe if you rvr status is turned off. if your rvr status is On you can get ganked everywhere.

whats the incentive to kill or fight? mostly increase your RR (realm rank), at higher RR you unlock the access to better gear/weapons and get access to more mastery points to train and RPS (realm skill points) to get RR abilities.

Check the character builder to see how +/- RR works:
