The best solution imo is to stop using single objective scenarios for weeknd events.

One thing I've always found very weird is that Wrath mastery path doesn't have it's own righteous fury spending ability, only righteous fury builders. Isn't it weird when you think about it? Ive had this issue since forever. Cant see auras, absorb shields, SM blade enhchancements and similar effects on my character. No problems seeing them on other players. I guess this is not uncommon.
