I dont think the problem is with the class in group play. But I think they suffer in the same way all stealth classes in all games do when you look at the playerbase as a whole. You can level through PvP, its just not as fast. PvE leveling feels a lot faster in this iteration of the game. Quake being a stun back then was pretty annoying, but I think Black Orcs were better and got a significant nerf early.
