Sound advice! To improve your guard you should get the Tether addon that shows you a line between you and the character you guard. If you go out of range it will go from green to red.

We started using Altdorf-time in Bitterstone Thunderers for the exact same reason. After a while it spread out over the server as the devs back in the day started using it as well.

Won't find it elsewhere. It's a RoR thing now!
