Mara might still have lowest burst damage in game, yes. Mara still has enough damage to function well in ST. And, as we can see from a test made years ago by brogun, AoE damage difference is overall less than 5% (in fact, he was getting better times with marauder than with choppa on several tries)....

Well, killboard numbers from last more than half year say Mara is worst melee damage dealer in the game. So, if you pick anything else you will be much better.
