I like solution 2, make it stackable three times and remove it's chance to crit, as sorcs clearly have an advantage regarding that given their mechanic.

There are some very helpful add-ons that will make it much simpler, but guard switching is in itself easy. The hard part is hugging that class. I myself just switch guard to whatever group mate is within range if my mdps isn't around. If you're already worried about it then you will figure it out.

Are you more effective at support, or dps? If you're a straight ahead player Mara is a good choice. Plenty of debuffs, and pull will allow you to wreck shop. If your more reactionary, and you can master switching guard you will absolutely excel at Chosen. Both are good introductory classes.

Very few do go high WP, it scales for crap. If your big heal is about 1500 non-crit you're about right. Most of us normals get armor to 3k and 30+ crit.

I'm really enjoying this discussion. Would making Ice Spikes undefendable but un-refreshable solve the problem? Meaning if you spam ice spikes the duration on the dot does not return to 15 seconds but continues to tick down from the initial application. I wonder how this would work in practice.

I think it would be interesting to see a healing ability that stacked three times as we know many damaging abilities function. With the current health ticks I can hardly see it overpowered when stacked. Furthermore as it is tied to a tactic and kills it is much harder to control and stack as a matte...

Positioning is king, I'm getting rusty myself. I used to play LoL ARAM a couple games a day and that will get you hyper focused on position.
