Copy and paste the game folder to another location.
You may need to add the folder to the exception list for your anti-virus if it still throws the error.

The random name generator doesn't work (all the names there have already been used).
Just keep trying with different names. I use a character name generator site if I'm stuck for ideas on a name - just Google warhammer <race> name generator and there's plenty to try.

Sounds like it could possibly be your antivirus that is preventing it from updating. Try allowing an exception for the RoR folder if you're using antivirus/Windows security. Sounds to me like the infamous audio glitch that ultimately causes the client to crash. The fix for this is redownloading the Audio.myp file and replacing your existing one in the game folder.
