Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

Second Possible Fix The purpose of this fix is to restore the value of the strikethrough modifiers. It assumes that you really want to nerf all of the defense modifiers from abilities such as Eagle's Flight, Suppression, Wall of Darting Steel, etc, as well as all of the parry/dodge/disrupt/block ta...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

Correct me.if i am wrong but in the old system my "base" chance to avoid from stats is basically removed by my attackers main stat so only the tactic/rr/other bonuses applied... Yes. That's why it was changed. The effect of weaponskill or strength on items was virtually worthless, and now...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

Correct me.if i am wrong but in the old system my "base" chance to avoid from stats is basically removed by my attackers main stat so only the tactic/rr/other bonuses applied... So in the old system 35% avoid was more like 25% - strikethrough, for example 10% strikethrough leaves me with ...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

I believe I mentioned this before, but just in case I didn't - the old formula was resulting in an even smaller parry chance than what we have now. So small, that the overall parry chance was more like -6% to 17% for some squishy mdps/rdps classes, even with full renown rank traits. It's considerab...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

The question I have is how are you treating percentage modifiers to defense and strike-through such as: + 10% parry due to dual-wielding weapons + 10% block(?) strike-through using a 2H weapon + x% parry, block, dodge, disrupt from tactics + x% parry, block, dodge, disrupt from abilities such as Ea...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

Should the % defense bonuses count for less than their tooltip values? The whole purpose of strikethrough is not to cut into the other person's actual parry value, but to provide a harder time to actually perform the parry. So yes - your overall parry will be lower than the tooltip says it is becau...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

I'd rather not do a contested roll out of 100. Otherwise, the bonuses from strength will always outweigh weaponskill, and always result in a negative value to parry from strength/weaponskill. Or if it's the other way around, you'll be nearing 100% parry. Neither are good. Item stats, though - Parry...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

math+english, my brain exploded. so, strength now reduce parry chance from item/RR/skill? ( from .getstat values ) and weapon skills provide more parry than b4? Yes. This is how I read it. I wonder if it's intentional. To restore the % bonuses to their full percentage amounts they should use the co...

Re: Patch Notes 13/10/17

So... 'strikethrough' just adds to the upper limit of the roll. Prior to this update, contested avoidance used to be a roll between 0 and 100, and then was calculated using a different, incorrect formula that normally resulted in -6% to 7% base chance to avoid for those who stacked offensive hardca...

With regard to the dot-detaunt controversy, you can always use Flee when you can't use Detaunt.
