I don’t think this change is necessary. DoK/WP becomes tanky in exchange for mobility. This is the trade-off. If anything, un-nerf the regen procs on the gear and that would help.

Would you say that aoe detaunt and ED are optional in ranked? In your video I think you only had to detaunt twice and ED procced once since you never really got focused?
