For talisman i go for full armor, renown points into Futile Strikes and Deft Defender

The guild vendor has level 150 blue boxes, but only if the guild you're in is at least guild rank 28 (or 29- don't remember exactly)

Had the same problem just now.
Deactivated the Windows Firewall and it works for now. So it seems like the firewall blocked it, adding an exception before turning it off didn't help.
