Re: RoR under Linux

uhh that is odd.. i mean second step is to make new wineprefix. but if it says its not an absolute path, something is really off here. step four for script is basically you make a RoRLauncher.sh with those contents and mark it as executable via the properties or from command chmod +x RoRLauncher.sh ...

Re: RoR under Linux

looks like dotnet didnt get installed or something. did you install wine and run winecfg before on your system? i hear that lutris needs this to get all the required packages. if you are willing to try it with just wine then you just need winetricks dotnet40 d3dx9_34 corefonts to make it simple for ...

Re: Really bad performance, need some help!

GPU doesn't even matter for this game. you can turn most of the settings on if you like those. just keep spell effects self or party only animations balanced and view distance at medium. rest can be maxed. now if you have so bad framerates i would try without addons first. Re: Most important hardware for RoR to run the best?

I assume you want to play other games also. so yeah 16GB of RAM i would say is minimum if you are building a PC. Also get any modern CPU with 4 or more cores at least. Even Ryzen has good singlecore perf these days.

Re: Most important hardware for RoR to run the best?

CPU with good singlecore perf makes the only difference in this game. as well as having it on SSD/NVME drive for less stutters when loading in new places/characters. this game barely uses 2.5GB of RAM when running like 8 hours in row. GPU doesn't matter much at all either.. any midrange GPU and up d...

Re: GPU not boosting

yeah this game doesnt use GPU much at all, so obviously it doesnt need to boost. CPU singlethread perf is the most important for this game as for FPS boosting: draw distance medium. Spell Effects party only or yourself only. Animations balanced. Those are the things that help in huge battles. Rest c...

He used the windows default thingy to change tha...
