The scenario queue system really isn't that bad. Old School will still farm you during the weekend. Pug or premade doesn't matter much.

What I want to see is double renown if you join the scenario through the open world portal. Each zone has its own scenario after all.

As a destro main I love seeing double slayer premades weekend after weekend during the event scenario. I know it's a guaranteed win because they're so bad you see.

I don't personally want to discourage new players, but this is an MMO. A PvP MMO at that. If you want to excel you're going to have to change your spec sometimes. Sometimes you'll even have to switch your class and level up another toon entirely.

This game is worth the grind is what I'm on about.

A taunted mara pull should go on cool down. This is good balance because a pet pull is countered by aoe knock back on healers in particular.
