Return of Reckoning

I've finally found a solution to my problem.
In a roundabout way I found a guy with a similar problem with a different program. The fault apparently lay with a couple of .ocx files, although I'm not sure what they do.
Apparently they are installed and updated regularly through windows system update ...

I've been trying out a range of solutions, both going in and changing read-only attributes with cmd.exe, as well as using both "Process Monitor" and "Dependency walker" so see if that would show me anything.
So far still no luck, the launcher barely registers on the task manager before shutting down ...

It happened once with a player. We solved it moving all the game folder in "program files" folder.

I've tried it both the "program files" and "program files (x86)" folders, as I wasn't sure which one would work. Unfortunately, none of these locations ...

i had the same problem today, and just copied full game folder from where it was to desktop, and it worked,
