I would like to see option 3 imho. This would also help for things like pistol whip, BAL or other skills with position requirement.

The main problem of WH is: He only excels in 1on1 situations which are very rare. He has close to no escape tools, no real defense, no real burst, some noticable ramp up time, close to no AoE is you spec for it and even then it's not competitive to other classes.
