Uhm. Okay. I'm not sure what I did that fixed the issue. In case anyone else has a similar issue, this is what I tried. One of the following may have fixed it, or none at all and I just had a freak occurrence.
1. Set my launcher back to 64-bit
2. Set it to run in compatibility mode for Win 7

I logged in first time no issue.. sort of. I was picking my character to make, but noticed that none of the character models at the selection screen were loaded, only their weapons. I closed the game, ran the repair tool to verify everything, and it all checked out. Launching the game again ...
