I've played over 10 BiS toons in various environments including tanks, healers, rDPS and mDPS - you don't have to worry about my personal experience, I will do just fine regardless of balance direction.

You ask why would you want to bring at all mDPS over rDPS to lake to kite group? Because rDPS ...

We already have many abilities disabled by not having equipped Tome/Chalice or Shield ;)

If you ever want a charge, better prepare a list of support abilities that would be disabled when having a 2h or dw equipped.
