Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

Also where are you getting 2-3k damage from, if you hit someone 4 times with gloomburst + hor, into 2nd tick of hor and ID, each of these hits can easily crit 1k if not more, landing in two timestamps and each of these can also proc other damage effects, is more like 4k-6k. The keyword in my post ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

germ32, You seem to be talking about non-competitive environments, whereas I was talking about competitive environments. Competitive environments should be, in my opinion, the main driver behind balance changes. Of course you can adjust your rotation to pick off low-health targets or do damage on ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

Prob least affected classes of all this will be ranged glasscanons, that will keep distance a pop that halfdead melles. They still will die from sneezing. So actually for dmg its -15%crit dmg but +5% to be crit. Ok, but in competitive environments there really is no such thing as safety behind ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

A 5% damage nerf is huge for a class that relies on burst (actually, it's huge on any class), but in practical terms we are most likely talking about more than a 5% damage nerf, because Sorc/BW rely on maximum burst (where all their heavy hitters crit) and not on average burst. With regards to ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

I don't particularly like probability, but the situation you are describing has a 4.2% chance of occurring (.35 x .35 x .35) at 100 combustion. So yea that is bad luck but honestly I don't think it is an unreasonable claim I am making. I have played the class believe me and I've never had a problem ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

Not to be rude, I really just don't believe this is true. A pink pot easily counteracts self damage, and if you play in a group it is easily healed through. Sorcs and bws have some of the highest ST burst due to how many time stamps they can stack and how high they can crit. They have disarm, root ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

Sorc/BW is a high risk, high reward type class. It's difficult to play due to its lack of control and escape tools, cloth armor class and self-nuking mechanic, and it heavily relies on its party. What's the point of playing Sorc/BW if you cannot enjoy a powerful caster when you tick all the boxes ...

Re: [PTS] Combustion & Dark magic

Hopefully because theres a Dev inside that instance and a very vocal voice constantly mentioning "brightwizard, brightwizard, brightwizard" we are not getting nerfs based on that two days later. I HAVE to belive that is not the server we play on! But then again, would anyone be surprised by that?
