Played only midtier SCs and some bolstered rvr solo roam and am no slayer vet by any means.
2h spec in pug SCs felt really good, had some nice burst moments.
Rvr was mixed. Joining bigger fights while being ignored by most of the enemies you could deal some great damage.

Played some Sav spec Mara and it felt okay up to good. Some things that could be tweaked and improved, though:
- touch of instability could be 15s as well, don't get why it differs from touch of rot
- sav auto attack speed debuff is kinda 'meh', could be auto attack speed buff for yourself to ...

Backlash can be absorbed, relentless can be parried and absorbed, DA can be absorbed, touch of palsy can be parried and absorbed (or you just stop moving).
There are builds and ways to fight those regen focused builds and the harder part will be on your side, that's for sure.

I'm seeing a big trend in the same builds that solo chosen are choosing which says to me is the meta and also the ultimate build. Full regen with grimshimmer.

If you find a party running AM and BW to fight you have quite the chance to beef up your slashings damage and mess with their party buffs. But yeah, rather situational and potentially looked at with the dps rework.

Going crit is only worth it if you got skills and tactics supporting it. Kotbs doesn't have those other than arcing swing, which is a support skill for parties and WBs rather than anything supporting your build.
SM and IB are more suitable for this.

Snb is as deadly as diabetis. Sure, you kill stuff with the stacked dot and undefendable aura, but only because of your plethora of regen paired with a lot mitigation, absorb and prevention in form of block.
It's basically a def WE in slower and less sexy.

Buildwise it's not that different from pvp group spec. Going 2h the middle trees only helpful thing is vauls buffer. The rest is not helpful/usable/too high up in the tree.
You can go left tree for GW mastery to get some more parry, phoenix wings for mob groups and buff the statsteal enchant. Also ...
