Another suggestion: Give Forts a max duration (example: 60min). If invaders take over 30 minutes to open the door they should not have another 45min for the lord.

So you think the right thing for Order would be to sit on their hands for 50minutes in the first Fort doing nothing and give Destro a guaranteed win in the second Fort? Also, following to the second Fort wouldn't be an issue at all if Defenders could easily get back into the first Fort like ...

Exploit works like this:
1. Destro opens first fort, order joins
2. Destro leaves first fort and opens second fort, a good share of order follows
3. After Destro wins second fort they will quickly go back to first fort
4. Order is unable to get back to first fort because the portal will switch ...
