Return of Reckoning

Thank you for your advice. For now, it’s working, but if the issue happens again with the next update, I’ll try Heroic Launcher or Bottles (which I did not know, by the way).

Back again, unfortunately, I haven’t been able to restart the game. Each time, the launcher crashes during updates. So, I uninstalled/reinstalled everything… and now I’m back with the same issue, even though I followed the same steps as last time.

I’m starting to think it’s more about my PC’s ...

I’m not entirely sure. I suppose it was due to the installer, as I don’t think I had tried this method before.
Previously, I was using the RORInstaller.exe that came by default in the RORInstaller-May2024 folder.

Back to update you that I finally managed to launch it! :D I was able to find my goblin waiting there for... about 10 years (maybe?)!
For anyone experiencing the same issue on Ubuntu 24 LTS, here’s what I did:

Uninstalled everything (Lutris, Wine) and deleted their related files and folders (.cache ...

I will follow your suggestions and keep you updated if there’s any improvement.

Yes, I’m on GNOME. I’ve clicked “Wait” several times to see if it would progress, but it always ends up freezing and showing this message, without any further progress. I extended the wait time using gsettings set org.gnome.mutter check-alive-timeout, but there’s still no progress, and it eventually ...

Thank you for your quick response. To be honest, I installed Lutris with Flatpak because it didn’t work with the .deb package during my first attempt. But I’ll try again with the traditional packages now that I’ve just installed Ubuntu 24. 🥴
