How about leaving guardian as it is and buffing the Hunter/Axeman spec to encourage more people to use it, instead of guardian?

The WL needed the buff tbh, the nerf to pounce tore the heart out of the class. I almost deleted my WL when that happened. Thankfully the Guardian spec provide an interesting change.

If you want to win every 1v1 encounter in the lakes, roll a hp regen BG. Just accept the WL is good at small scale ...

WLs are 100% skill based guys. Very fun to play, with a varied playstyle. Hunter/Axeman or Guardian/Hunter being both viable.
