WL is still top tier in 6 man.
1. Bind attack and follow for your pet
2. You do not need CC if you have 2 tanks in your group and potentially a WH in your party
3. Slot revenge and you only have 5 seconds downtime on your damage
4. No HD needed when you have a slayer/WH/DPS WP as your assist dps ...

A WL is actually great at opportunistic ganking incidentally whilst also being S tier in 6man and WB play.

WL is NOT an S tier for 6-man party. Why? He has too much stuff to cripple his combat potential:

1. Braindead pet.
2. You are forced to use this braindead pet to deal good ST damage.

They were created because of one influential streamer and his premade couldn't stomp ranged kiting classes back in the day.

The barrier/quitter combo is actually very good at achieving the thing they were designed for - punish you for not leaving the spawn room.

But why do you don't want to not leave the spawn room?

Because your team is losing (usually it's stomped).

I wanted to revive this topic in response to the latest patchnotes. The buff change is a welcome one but I still believe that the jnderlying issue of having barriers in scs still persists and should be addressed now that the new matchmaking system is done.

You may be hiding, but unless you are immune to tabbing, its irrelevant.

Sadly, the stealth is reserved for a 2 certain classes. Thus, SW's role is to an guerilla elven archer who has no guerilla skills and can't shoot as far as gobbo archer can. Quite good in melee or AoE zerg surfing though.

I'm expecting that after the rework SW will be even better in melee...while ...
