I've done over 60 LV runs on various characters over the past months, and managed to complete only 1 ring (thanks to the first day bug/reset of the quest).
Unless you run LV as a full guild group, it's virtually impossible to complete those rings within ...

If anything, staying in a lost City is anything but rewarding nowadays. I recently tried to stay until the end despite most of the players leaving, the end rewards were 2 bag (green/white).

The main reason why most tanks feel less tanky than before (live / early RoR) is because there are alot more mechanics that were added to ignore / reduce defences, alot more CCs (since it was decided to give every tank the same CC mechanics) and no possibilty to stack stats. My 2cents on how to make SCs enjoyable :
- a proper Matchmaking with only balanced teams allowed (with a minimum mix of heals / tanks to be allowed to start SC) and no late joiners.

Well Skavens would probably be possible because they did exist on Live (as a semi playable race).

Shield doK / WP (I play(ed) both extensively) was extremely enjoyable prior to Heal patch.
