Hey everyone, I am coming back to RoR after about two years. I usually don't bother with PvP in MMO's as it isn't my thing but I see some cool quests in PvP areas. What is a good level I should strive to be before going into those areas as to not be immediately murdered? :D

Agreed, the real beauty of this game and part of the reason for its success and longevity is the incredible accomplishment of creating unique-feeling classes while also maintaining good balance.

To compare DPS fairly, I reviewed the top 5 large skirmishes (last week).
Metrics considered: damage, death blows (DBs), kill damage, deaths, and efficiency (DBs per 1M dmg).

If win condition is hold 5 bo points on the map for x minutes. Furthermore if a lost bo resets a lock timer (pushes the victory back). Blob gets to blob on keep takes anyway.

BOs importance should play the disperse role. As you said the lockout mechanic from early live version combined with aao should be optimal imo. Make the lock timer connected with aao and make BO importance matters more.
