Running as admin produces no results, just an irresponsive connect button. Not a grey button, a yellow connect button that does not react to clicking.

Either u have corrupt files some where or just need to buy new card. Makes no sense u cant run this game. To be honest if ur info ur providing is correct and no mis-leading info i would say would have corrupt files.

Frame Rate Limiter is the setting for the maximum frames per second, the rest is for somthing else. As i understand it, your card is overheating and i think with restricting the maximum FPS the problem could be gone. Maybe the WAR client lacks a max FPS setting and allows theoretically unlimited ...

You can try to download the nvidia inspector .
Set the maximum FPS for war.exe to 30 (or lower/higher). Create a profile for war.exe if there is none.

I am idling now at about 38c for my GPU and 33c for my CPU. My buddy and I just took apart my computer and GPU and dusted everything out and repasted. Unfortunately that didn't solve any issues, Instead of going into failsafe fan mode because my GPU is getting too hot, the driver just up and fails ...
