your irony would make sense if:

1 - magus, herders, shamans, AMs, engy etc, which have similar or even better escape tools as SW, ALSO DIDN'T HAVE ANY SELF SUSTAIN

2 -if self damaging classes with no ranged abilities like choppa or slayer DIDN'T HAVE LIFE TAPS AND OTHER REGEN AND SELF SUSTAIN ...

To claim that every self sustain for every class works would be clearly false. To argue about it at all is way beyond the scope of this very simple post and way out of my humble assessment. Again, this is very simple:
BWs have a tactic called emperor ward. Also an ability that returns damage to the ...

Now, if anyone considers that some small absorb or some slight health regen like every other ranged (and not ranged class) has is awarded to the SW will be a game breaking decision by the devs, I don't know what more to say.

Imagine playing a rdps with no self kb, no ranged snare, no m1 kb or no anged kd.

Self damage, no mobility and wonky clns burst damage well well I think absorbs obviously should be added to sw clearly needed

All classes can reach regen gear as grimshimmer and fleshrender. İ didnt get your point.

this post is only to try and draw attention to a simple fact:

Every other class in the game but the Shadow Warrior has some form or another of SELF HEAL, HP REGEN, LIFE TAP or ABSORB SHIELD.

Obviously those forms are sometimes very slight, major or minor ofc, depending on the archetype ...
