Depends on what do you define as performance. I think you should try it out and check for your self. :D
My bad, i ment how many resources it uses, because shinies sometimes can eat up cpu.

I like immersion in my mmo, so would like an animation with a castbar when doing quests, public quests that require interaction; now we have right click some items, and your char does nothing, no feedback, it breaks all immersion.
